16 bass cabs on a pair of BGW 750's is just plain silly.

Edit...guess that's x 2 racks, still way underpowered. Speakers should have twice their rated power, to allow for transients.

Where does he get off calling them Stanley Screamers?

Screamers are fiberglass coated and have recessed handles. Seller is trolling for a fool.

That said, haven't these been for sale on and off for the last 4 or 5 years or more?

Well, they've been on sale at least since I started this thread about them going on three years ago. BTW, he was asking $35,000 in 2009.....

This seller (aaokc) has been the topic of debate for quite some time.With all the Altec gear he bought from the factory when they closed, to his usually high and outrageous prices.

The Stanley Screamers came in 2 finishes with the designation after model # of either (U) or (R) Utility and Road finishes.The Utility coating was usually installed in permanent and semi-permanent installations such as discos,night clubs,etc..It was a "Special Line" of cabinets (Special Order).

I think these are just a simple 817 cab. The Stanley Screamers (1120's/421's) & (1140's/604's) are Altec Lansing 817 cabs with a few simple modifications.Like Handles,steel corner caps,fiberglass coating.. And either the U or the R model.
